啟14:1我又觀看，見羔羊站在錫安山，同他又有十四萬四千人，都有他的名，和他父的名，寫在額上。
啟14:2我聽見從天上有聲音，像眾水的聲音，和大雷的聲音，並且我所聽見的好像彈琴的所彈的琴聲。
啟14:3他們在寶座前，並在四活物和眾長老前唱歌，彷彿是新歌，除了從地上買來的那十四萬四千人以外，沒有人能學這歌。
啟14:4這些人未曾沾染婦女，他們原是童身。羔羊無論往那裡去，他們都跟隨他。他們是從人間買來的，作初熟的果子歸與神和羔羊。
啟14:5在他們口中察不出謊言來，他們是沒有瑕疵的。
啟14:6我又看見另有一位天使飛在空中，有永遠的福音要傳給住在地上的人，就是各國各族各方各民。
啟14:7他大聲說：應當敬畏神，將榮耀歸給他，因他施行審判的時候己經到了，應當敬拜那創造天地海和眾水泉源的。
啟14:8又有第二位天使，接著說：叫萬民喝邪淫大怒之酒的巴比倫大城傾倒了，傾倒了。
啟14:9又有第三位天使，接著他們，大聲說：若有人拜獸和獸像，在額上，或在手上，受了印記，
啟14:10這人也必喝神大怒的酒，此酒斟在神忿怒的杯中純一不雜，他要在聖天使和羔羊面前，在火與硫磺之中受痛苦。
啟14:11他受痛苦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠，那些拜獸和獸像受他名之印記的，晝夜不得安寧。
啟14:12聖徒的忍耐就在此，他們是守神誡命，和耶穌真道的。
啟14:13我聽見從天上有聲音說：你要寫下，從今以後，在主裡面而死的人有福了，聖靈說：是的，他們息了自己的勞苦，作工的果效也隨著他們。
啟14:14我又觀看，見有一片白雲，雲上坐著一位好像人子，頭上戴著金冠冕，手裡拿著快鐮刀。
啟14:15又有一位天使從殿中出來，向那坐在雲上的大聲喊著說：伸出你的鐮刀來收割，因為收割的時候已經到了，地上的莊稼已經熟透了。
啟14:16那坐在雲上的，就把鐮刀扔在地上，地上的莊稼就被收割了。
啟14:17又有一位天使從天上的殿中出來，他也拿著快鐮刀。
啟14:18又有一位天使從祭壇中出來，是有權柄管火的，向拿著快鐮刀的大聲喊著說：伸出快鐮刀來收取地上的葡萄樹的果子，因為葡萄熟透了。
啟14:19那天使就把鐮刀扔在地上，收取了地上的葡萄，丟在神忿怒的大酒醡中。
啟14:20那酒醡踹在城外，就有血從酒醡裡流出來，高到馬的嚼環，遠有六百里。

啟15:1我又看見在天上有異象，大而且奇，就是七位天使掌管末了的七災，因為神的大怒在這七災中發盡了。
啟15:2我看見彷彿有玻璃海，其中有火攙雜，又看見那些勝了獸和獸的像，並他名字數目的人，都站在玻璃海上，拿著神的琴。
啟15:3唱神僕人摩西的歌，和羔羊的歌，說：主神，全能者阿，你的作為大哉，奇哉，萬世之王阿，〔世或作國〕你的道途義哉，誠哉。
啟15:4主阿，誰敢不敬畏你，不將榮耀歸與你的名呢，因為獨有你是聖的，萬民都要來在你面前敬拜，因你公義的作為已經顯明出來了。
啟15:5此後，我看見在天上那存法櫃的殿開了。
啟15:6那掌管七災的七位天使，從殿中出來，穿著潔白光明的細麻衣，〔細麻衣有古卷作寶石〕胸間束著金帶。
啟15:7四活物中有一個把盛滿了活到永永遠遠之神大怒的七個金碗給了那七位天使。
啟15:8因神的榮耀，和能力，殿中充滿了煙，於是沒有人能以進殿，直等到那七位天使所降的七災完畢了。
啟16:1我聽見有大聲音從殿中出來，向那七位天使說：你們去，把盛神大怒的七碗倒在地上。
啟16:2第一位天使便去，把碗倒在地上，就有惡而且毒的瘡，生在那些有獸印記，拜獸像的人身上。
啟16:3第二位天使把碗倒在海裡，海就變成血，好像死人的血，海中的活物都死了。
啟16:4第三位天使把碗倒在江河與眾水的泉源裡，水就變成血了。
啟16:5我聽見掌管眾水的天使說：昔在今在的聖者阿，你這樣的判斷是公義的。
啟16:6他們曾流聖徒與先知的血，現在你給他們血喝，這是他們所該受的。
啟16:7我又聽見祭壇中有聲音說：是的，主神，全能者阿，你的判斷義哉，誠哉。
啟16:8第四位天使把碗倒在日頭上，叫日頭能用火烤人。
啟16:9人被大熱所烤，就褻瀆那有權掌管這些災的神之名，並不悔改將榮耀歸給神。
啟16:10第五位天使把碗倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就黑暗了，人因疼痛就咬自己的舌頭。
啟16:11又因所受的疼痛，和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的神，並不悔改所行的。
啟16:12第六位天使把碗倒在伯拉大河上，河水就乾了，要給那從日出之地所來的眾王豫備道路。
啟16:13我又看見三個污穢的靈，好像青蛙，從龍口獸口並假先知的口中出來。
啟16:14他們本是鬼魔的靈，施行奇事，出去到普天下眾王那裡，叫他們在神全能者的大日聚集爭戰。
啟16:15（看哪，我來像賊一樣。那儆醒，看守衣服，免得赤身而行，叫人見他羞恥的，有福了。）
啟16:16那三個鬼魔便叫眾王聚集在一處，希伯來話叫作哈米吉多頓。
啟16:17第七位天使把碗倒在空中，就有大聲音從殿中的寶座上出來，說：成了。
啟16:18又有閃電，聲音，雷轟，大地震，自從地上有人以來，沒有這樣大這樣利害的地震。
啟16:19那大城裂為三段，列國的城也都倒塌了，神也想起巴比倫大城來，要把那盛自己烈怒的酒杯遞給他。
啟16:20各海島都逃避了，眾山也不見了。

 

Revelation 14 

The Lamb and the 144,000
14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

The Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

8 A second angel followed and said, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’[a] which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.”

9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

Harvesting the Earth and Trampling the Winepress
14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man[b] with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.[c]

Revelation 15 

Seven Angels With Seven Plagues
15 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God 3 and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb:

“Great and marvelous are your deeds,
    Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
    King of the nations.[a]
4 Who will not fear you, Lord,
    and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
    and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.”[b]

5 After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. 6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests. 7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

Revelation 16 

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath
16 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”

2 The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

3 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

4 The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. 5 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say:

“You are just in these judgments, O Holy One,
    you who are and who were;
6 for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets,
    and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”
7 And I heard the altar respond:

“Yes, Lord God Almighty,
    true and just are your judgments.”
8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony 11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. 13 Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21 From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds,[a] fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

啟10:1我又看見另有一位大力的天使，從天降下，披著雲彩，頭上有虹，臉面像日頭，兩腳像火柱。
啟10:2他手裡拿著小書卷是展開的，他右腳踏海，左腳踏地。
啟10:3大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫，呼喊完了，就有七雷發聲。
啟10:4七雷發聲之後，我正要寫出來，就聽見從天上有聲音說：七雷所說的你要封上，不可寫出來。
啟10:5我所看見的那踏海踏地的天使，向天舉起右手來，
啟10:6指著那創造天和天上之物，地和地上之物，海和海中之物，直活到永永遠遠的，起誓說：不再有時日了，〔或作不再耽延了〕
啟10:7但在第七位天使吹號發聲的時候，神的奧秘，就成全了，正如神所傳給他僕人眾先知的佳音。
啟10:8我先前從天上所聽見的那聲音，又吩咐我說：你去把那踏海踏地之天使手中展開的小書卷取過來。
啟10:9我就去到天使那裡，對他說：請你把小書卷給我，他對我說：你拿著吃盡了，便叫你肚子發子發苦，然而在你口中要甜如蜜。
啟10:10我從天使手中把小書卷接過來，吃盡了，在我口中果然甜如蜜，吃了以後，肚子覺得發苦了。
啟10:11天使〔原文作他們〕對我說：你必指著多民多國多方多王再說豫言。

啟11:1有一根葦子賜給我，當作量度的杖，且有話說：起來，將神的殿，和祭壇，並在殿中禮拜的人，都量一量。
啟11:2只是殿外的院子，要留下不用量，因為這是給了外邦人的，他們要踐踏聖城四十二個月。
啟11:3我要使我那兩個見證人，穿著毛衣，傳道一千二百六十天。
啟11:4他們就是那兩棵橄欖樹，兩個燈臺，立在世界之主面前的。
啟11:5若有人想要害他們就有火從他們口中出來，燒滅仇敵，凡想要害他們的，都必這樣被殺。
啟11:6這二人有權柄，在他們傳道的日子叫天閉塞不上雨，又有權柄，叫水變為血，並且能隨時隨意用各樣的災殃攻擊世界。
啟11:7他們作完見證的時候，那從無底坑裡上來的獸，必與他們交戰，並且得勝，把他們殺了。
啟11:8他們的屍首就倒在大城裡的街上，這城按著靈意叫所多瑪，又叫埃及，就是他們的主釘十字架之處。
啟11:9從各民各族各方各國中，有人觀看他們的屍首三天半，又不許把屍首放在墳墓裡。
啟11:10住在地上的人，就為他們歡喜快樂，互相餽送禮物，因這兩位先知曾叫住在地上的人受痛苦。
啟11:11過了這三天半，有生氣從神那裡進入他們裡面，他們就站起來，看見他們的人甚是害怕。
啟11:12兩位先知聽見有大聲音從天上來，對他們說：上到這裡來。他們就駕著雲上了天，他們的仇敵也看見了。
啟11:13正在那時候，地大震動，城就倒塌了十分之一，因地震而死的有七千人，其餘的都恐懼，歸榮耀給天上的神。
啟11:14第二樣災禍過去，第三樣災禍快到了。
啟11:15第七位天使吹號，天上就有大聲音說：世上的國，成了我主和主基督的國，他要作王，直到永永遠遠。
啟11:16在神面前，坐在自己位上的二十四位長老，就面伏於地敬拜神，
啟11:17說：昔在今在的主神，全能者阿，我們感謝你，因你執掌大權作王了。
啟11:18外邦發怒，你的忿怒也臨到了，審判死人的時候也到了，你的僕人眾先知，和眾聖徒，凡敬畏你名的人連大帶小得賞賜的時候也到了，你敗壞那些敗壞世界之人的時候也就到了。
啟11:19當時神天上的殿開了，在他殿中現出他的約櫃，隨後有閃電，聲音，雷轟，地震，大雹。

啟12:1天上現出大異象來，有一個婦人，身披日頭，腳踏月亮，頭戴十二星的冠冕。
啟12:2他懷了孕，在生產的艱難中疼痛呼叫。
啟12:3天上又現出異象來，有一條大紅龍，七頭十角，七頭上戴著七個冠冕。
啟12:4他的尾巴拖拉著天上星辰的三分之一，摔在地上，龍就站在那將要生產的婦人面前，等他生產之後，要吞吃他的孩子。
啟12:5婦人生了一個男孩子，是將來要用鐵杖轄管萬國的，〔轄管原文作牧〕他的孩子被提到神寶座那裡去了。
啟12:6婦人就逃到曠野，在那裡有神給他豫備的地方，使他被養活一千二百六十天。
啟12:7在天上就有了爭戰，米迦勒同他的使者與龍爭戰，龍也同他的使者去爭戰。
啟12:8並沒有得勝，天上再沒有他們的地方。
啟12:9大龍就是那古蛇，名叫魔鬼，又叫撒但，是迷惑普天下的，他被摔在地上，他的使者也一同被摔下去。
啟12:10我聽見在天上有大聲音說：我神的救恩，能力，國度，並他基督的權柄，現在都來到了，因為那在我們神面前晝夜控告我們弟兄的，已經被摔下去了。
啟12:11弟兄勝過他，是因羔羊的血，和自己所見證的道，他們雖至於死，也不愛惜性命。
啟12:12所以諸天和住在其中的，你們都快樂罷，只是地與海有禍了，因為魔鬼知道自己的時候不多，就氣忿忿的下到你們那裡去了。
啟12:13龍見自己被摔在地上，就逼迫那生男孩子的婦人。
啟12:14於是有大鷹的兩個翅膀賜給婦人，叫他能飛到曠野，到自己的地方，躲避那蛇，他在那裡被養活一載二載半載。
啟12:15蛇就在婦人身後，從口中吐出水來像河一樣，要將婦人沖去。
啟12:16地卻幫助婦人，開口吞了從龍口吐出來的水。〔原文作河〕
啟12:17龍向婦人發怒，去與他其餘的兒女爭戰，這兒女就是那守神誡命，為耶穌作見證的。那時龍就站在海邊的沙上。

啟13:1我又看見一個獸從海中上來，有十角七頭，在十角上戴著十個冠冕，七頭上有褻瀆的名號。
啟13:2我所看見的獸，形狀像豹，腳像熊的腳，口像獅子的口，那龍將自己的能力，座位，和大權柄，都給了他。
啟13:3我看見獸的七頭中，有一個似乎受了死傷，那死傷卻醫好了。全地的人，都希奇跟從那獸。
啟13:4又拜那龍，因為他將自己的權柄給了獸，也拜獸說：誰能比這獸，誰能與他交戰呢。
啟13:5又賜給他說誇大褻瀆話的口，又有權柄賜給他，可以任意而行四十二個月。
啟13:6獸就開口向神說褻瀆的話，褻瀆神的名，並他的帳幕，以及那些住在天上的。
啟13:7又任憑他與聖徒爭戰，並且得勝，也把權柄賜給他，制伏各族各民各方各國。
啟13:8凡住在地上，名字從創世以來，沒有記在被殺之羔羊生命冊上的人，都要拜他。
啟13:9凡有耳的，就應當聽。
啟13:10擄掠人的必被擄掠，用刀殺人的，必被刀殺。聖徒的忍耐和信心，就是在此。
啟13:11我又看見另有一個獸從地中上來，有兩角如同羊羔，說話好像龍。
啟13:12他在頭一個獸面前，施行頭一個獸所有的權柄，並且叫地和住在地上的人，拜那死傷醫好的頭一個獸。
啟13:13又行大奇事，甚至在人面前，叫火從天降在地上。
啟13:14他因賜給他權柄在獸面前能行奇事，就迷惑住在地上的人，說：要給那受刀傷還活著的獸作個像。
啟13:15又有權柄賜給他叫獸像有生氣，並且能說話，又叫所有不拜獸像的人都被殺害。
啟13:16他又叫眾人，無論大小貧富，自主的為奴的，都在右手上，或在額上，受一個印記。
啟13:17除了那受印記，有了獸名，或有獸名數目的，都不得作買賣。

 

 

本日經文提要  (啟示錄 7:1~9:21)

 

   

 

啟7:1此後我看見四位天使站在地的四角，執掌地上四方的風，叫風不吹在地上，海上，和樹上。
啟7:2我又看見另有一位天使，從日出之地上來，拿著永生神的印，他就向那得著權柄能傷害地和海的四位天使，大聲喊著說：
啟7:3地與海並樹木，你們不可傷害，等我們印了我們神眾僕人的額。
啟7:4我聽見以色列人，各支派中受印的數目，有十四萬四千。
啟7:5猶大支派中受印的有一萬二千，流便支派中有一萬二千，迦得支派中有一萬二千。
啟7:6亞設支派中有一萬二千，拿弗他利支派中有一萬二千，瑪拿西支派中有一萬二千。
啟7:7西緬支派中有一萬二千，利未支派中有一萬二千，以薩迦支派中有一萬二千。
啟7:8西布倫支派中有一萬二千，約瑟支派中有一萬二千，便雅憫支派中受印的有一萬二千。
啟7:9此後，我觀看，見有許多的人，沒有人能數過來，是從各國各族各民各方來的，站在寶座和羔羊面前，身穿白衣，手拿棕樹枝。
啟7:10大聲喊著說：願救恩歸與坐在寶座上我們的神，也歸與羔羊。
啟7:11眾天使都站在寶座和眾長老並四活物的周圍，在寶座前，面伏於地，敬拜神，
啟7:12說：阿們，頌讚，榮耀，智慧，感謝，尊貴，權柄，大力，都歸與我們的神，直到永永遠遠。阿們。
啟7:13長老中有一位問我說：這些穿白衣的是誰，是從那裡來的。
啟7:14我對他說：我主，你知道，他向我說：這些人是從大患難中出來的，曾用羔羊的血，把衣裳洗白淨了。
啟7:15所以他們在神寶座前，晝夜在他殿中事奉他，坐寶座的要用帳幕覆庇他們。
啟7:16他們不再飢，不再渴，日頭和炎熱，也必不傷害他們。
啟7:17因為寶座中的羔羊必牧養他們，領他們到生命水的泉源，神也必擦去他們一切的眼淚。


啟8:1羔羊揭開第七印的時候，天上寂靜約有二刻。
啟8:2我看見那站在神面前的七位天使，有七枝號賜給他們。
啟8:3另有一位天使拿著金香爐，來站在祭壇旁邊，有許多香賜給他，要和眾聖徒的祈禱一同獻在寶座前的金壇上。
啟8:4那香的煙，和眾聖徒的祈禱，從天使的手的中一同升到神面前。
啟8:5天使拿著香爐，盛滿了壇上的火，倒在地上，隨有雷轟，大聲，閃電，地震。
啟8:6拿著七枝號的七位天使，就豫備要吹。
啟8:7第一位天使吹號，就有雹子與火攙著血丟在地上，地的三分之一和樹的三分之一被燒了，一切的青草也被燒了。
啟8:8第二位天使吹號，就有彷彿火燒著的大山扔在海中，海的三分之一變成血。
啟8:9海中的活物死了三分之一，船隻也壞了三分之一。
啟8:10第三位天使吹號，就有燒著的大星，好像火把從天上落下來，落在江河的三分之一，和眾水的泉源上。
啟8:11這星名叫茵蔯，眾水的三分之一變為茵蔯，因水變苦，就死了許多人。
啟8:12第四位天使吹號，日頭的三分之一，月亮的三分之一，星晨的三分之一，都被擊打，以致日月星的三分之一黑暗了，白晝的三分之一沒有光，黑夜也是這樣。
啟8:13我又看見一個鷹飛在空中，並聽見他大聲說：三位天使要吹那其餘的號，你們住在地上的民，禍哉，禍哉，禍哉。

啟9:1第五位天使吹號，我就看見一個星從天落到地上，有無底坑的鑰匙賜給他。
啟9:2他開了無底坑，便有煙從坑裡往上冒，好像大火爐的煙，日頭和天空，都因這煙昏暗了。
啟9:3有蝗蟲從煙中出來飛到地上，有能力賜給他們，好像地上蠍子的能力一樣。
啟9:4並且吩咐他們說：不可傷害地上的草，和各樣青物，並一切樹木，惟獨要傷害額上沒有神印記的人。
啟9:5但不許蝗蟲害死他們，只叫他們受痛苦五個月，這痛苦就像蠍子螫人的痛苦一樣。
啟9:6在那些日子，人要求死，決不得死，願意死，死卻遠避他們。
啟9:7蝗蟲的形狀，好像豫備出戰的馬一樣，頭上戴的好像金冠冕，臉面好像男人的臉面。
啟9:8頭髮像女人的頭髮，牙齒像獅子的牙齒。
啟9:9胸前有甲，好像鐵甲，他們翅膀的聲音，好像許多車馬奔跑上陣的聲音。
啟9:10有尾巴像蠍子，尾巴上的毒鉤能傷人五個月。
啟9:11有無底坑的使者作他們的王，按著希伯來話，名叫亞巴頓，希利尼話，名叫亞玻倫。
啟9:12第一樣災禍過去了，還有兩樣災禍要來。
啟9:13第六位天使吹號，我就聽見有聲音，從神面前金壇的四角出來，
啟9:14吩咐那吹號的第六位天使，說：把那捆綁在伯拉大河的四個使者釋放了。
啟9:15那四個使者就被釋放，他們原是豫備好了，到某年某月某時，要殺人的三分之一。
啟9:16馬軍有二萬萬，他們的數目我聽見了。
啟9:17我在異象中看見那些馬和騎馬的，騎馬的胸前有甲如火，與紫瑪瑙，並硫磺，馬的頭好像獅子頭，有火，有煙，有硫磺，從馬的口中出來。
啟9:18口中所出來的火，與煙，並硫磺，這三樣災殺了人的三分之一。
啟9:19這馬的能力，是在口裡，和尾巴上，因這尾巴像蛇，並且有頭用以害人。
啟9:20其餘未曾被這些災所殺的人，仍舊不悔改自己手所作的，還是去拜鬼魔，和那些不能看，不能聽，不能走，金，銀，銅，木，石，的偶像。

7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” 4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.

5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed,

from the tribe of Reuben 12,000,

from the tribe of Gad 12,000,

6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000,

from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000,

from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,

7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000,

from the tribe of Levi 12,000,

from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,

8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000,

from the tribe of Joseph 12,000,

from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.

The Great Multitude in White Robes
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,

“they are before the throne of God
    and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
    will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’[a]
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’[b]

    ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’[c]”

Revelation 8 

The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer
8 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

The Trumpets
6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

7 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.

13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

Revelation 9 

9 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

12 The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come.

13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.

17 The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur. 18 A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths. 19 The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict injury.

20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.

啟4:1此後，我觀看，見天上有門開了，我初次聽見好像吹號的聲音，對我說：你上到這裡來，我要將以後必成的事指示你。
啟4:2我立刻被聖靈感動，見有一個寶座安置在天上，又有一位坐在寶坐上。
啟4:3看那坐著的，好像碧玉和紅寶石，又有虹圍著寶座，好像綠寶石。
啟4:4寶座的周圍，又有二十四個座位，其上坐著二十四位長老，身穿白衣，頭上戴著金冠冕。
啟4:5有閃電，聲音，雷轟，從寶座中發出。又有七盞火燈在寶座前點著，這七燈就是神的七靈。
啟4:6寶座前好像一個玻璃海如同水晶，寶座中，和寶座周圍有四個活物，前後遍體都滿了眼睛。
啟4:7第一個活物像獅子，第二個像牛犢，第三個臉面像人，第四個像飛鷹。
啟4:8四活物各有六個翅膀，遍體內外都滿了眼睛，他們晝夜不住的說：聖哉，聖哉，聖哉，主神，是昔在今在以後永在的全能者。
啟4:9每逢四活物將榮耀，尊貴，感謝，歸給那坐在寶座上，活到永永遠遠者的時候，
啟4:10那二十四位長老，就俯伏在坐寶座的面前，敬拜那活到永永遠遠的，又把他們的冠冕放在寶座前，說：
啟4:11我們的主，我們的神，你是配得榮耀尊貴權柄的，因為你創造了萬物，並且萬物因你的旨意被創造而有的。

啟5:1我看見坐寶座的右手中有書卷，裡外都寫著字，用七印封嚴了。
啟5:2我又看見一位大力的天使，大聲宣傳說：有誰配展開那書卷，揭開那七印呢。
啟5:3在天上，地上，地底下，沒有能展開能觀看那書卷的。
啟5:4因為沒有配展開，配觀看那書卷的，我就大哭。
啟5:5長老中有一位對我說：不要哭，看哪，猶大支派中的獅子，大衛的根，他已得勝，能以展開那書卷，揭開那七印。
啟5:6我又看見寶座與四活物並長老之中，有羔羊站立，像是被殺過的，有七角七眼，就是神的七靈，奉差遣往普天下去的。
啟5:7這羔羊前來，從坐寶座的右手裡拿了書卷。
啟5:8他既拿了書卷，四活物和二十四位長老，就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿著琴，和盛滿了香的金爐，這香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。
啟5:9他們唱新歌，說：你配拿書卷，配揭開七印，因為你曾被殺，用自己的血從各族各方，各民各國中買了人來，叫他們歸於神，
啟5:10又叫他們成為國民，作祭司，歸於神，在地上執掌王權。
啟5:11我又看見，且聽見，寶座與活物並長老的周圍，有許多天使的聲音，他們的數目有千千萬萬。
啟5:12大聲說：曾被殺的羔羊，是配得權柄，豐富，智慧，能力，尊貴，榮耀，頌讚的。
啟5:13我又聽見，在天上，地上，地底下，滄海裡，和天地間一切所有被造之物，都說：但願頌讚，尊貴，榮耀，權勢，都歸給坐寶座的和羔羊，直到永永遠遠。
啟5:14四活物就說：阿們。眾長老也俯伏敬拜。

 

啟6:1我看見羔羊揭開七印中第一印的時候，就聽見四活物中的一個活物，聲音如雷，說：你來。
啟6:2我就觀看，見有一匹白馬，騎在馬上的拿著弓，並有冠冕賜給他，他便出來，勝了又要勝。
啟6:3揭開第二印的時候，我聽見第二個活物說：你來。
啟6:4就另有一匹馬出來，是紅的，有權柄給了那騎馬的，可以從地上奪去太平，使人彼此相殺，又有一把大刀賜給他。
啟6:5揭開第三印的時候，我聽見第三個活物說：你來。我就觀看，見有一匹黑馬，騎在馬上的手裡拿著天平。
啟6:6我聽見在四活物中，似乎有聲音說：一錢銀子買一升麥子，一錢銀子買三升大麥，油和酒不可蹧蹋。
啟6:7揭開第四印的時候，我聽見第四個活物說：你來。
啟6:8我就觀看，見有一匹灰色馬，騎在馬上的，名字叫作死，陰府也隨著他，有權柄賜給他們，可以用刀劍，饑荒，瘟疫，〔瘟疫或作死亡〕野獸，殺害地上四分之一的人。
啟6:9揭開第五印的時候，我看見在祭壇底下，有為神的道，並為作見證，被殺之人的靈魂。
啟6:10大聲喊著說：聖潔真實的主阿，你不審判住在地上的人給我們伸流血的冤，要等到幾時呢。
啟6:11於是有白衣賜給他們各人，又有話對他們說：還要安息片時，等著一同作僕人的，和他們的弟兄，也像他們被殺，滿足了數目。
啟6:12揭開第六印的時候，我又看見地大震動，日頭變黑像毛布，滿月變紅像血。
啟6:13天上的星晨墜落於地，如同無花果樹被大風搖動，落下未熟的果子一樣。
啟6:14天就挪移，好像書卷被捲起來，山嶺海島都被挪移離開本位。
啟6:15地上的君王，臣宰，將軍，富戶，壯士，和一切為奴的，自主的，都藏在山洞，和巖石穴裡。
啟6:16向山和巖石說：倒在我們身上罷，把我們藏起來，躲避坐寶座者的面目，和羔羊的忿怒。

啟3:1你要寫信給撒狄教會的使者，說：那有神的七靈，和七星的，說：我知道你的行為，按名你是活的，其實是死的。
啟3:2你要儆醒，堅固那剩下將要衰微的，〔衰微原文作死〕因我見你的行為，在我神面前，沒有一樣是完全的。
啟3:3所以要回想你是怎樣領受，怎樣聽見的，又要遵守，並要悔改。若不儆醒，我必臨到你那裡如同賊一樣，我幾時臨到，你也決不能知道。
啟3:4然而在撒狄你還有幾名是未曾污穢自己衣服的，他們要穿白衣與我同行，因為他們是配得過的。
啟3:5凡得勝的，必這樣穿白衣，我也必不從生命冊上塗抹他的名，且要在我父面前，和我父眾使者面前，認他的名。
啟3:6聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽。
啟3:7你要寫信給非拉鐵非教會的使者，說：那聖潔，真實，拿著大衛的鑰匙，開了就沒有人能關，關了就沒有人能開的，說：
啟3:8我知道你的行為，你略有一點力量，也曾遵守我的道，沒有棄絕我的名，看哪，我在你面前給你一個敞開的門，是無人能關的。
啟3:9那撒但一會的，自稱是猶太人，其實不是猶太人，乃是說謊話的，我要使他們來在你腳前下拜，也使他們知道我是已經愛你了。
啟3:10你既遵守我忍耐的道，我必在普天下人受試煉的時候，保守你免去你的試煉。
啟3:11我必快來，你要持守你所有的，免得人奪去你的冠冕。
啟3:12得勝的，我要叫他在我神殿中作柱子，他也必不再從那裡出去，我又要將我神的名，和我神城的名，（這城就是從天上從我神那裡降下來的新耶路撒冷）並我的新名，都寫在他上面。
啟3:13聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽。
啟3:14你要寫信給老底嘉教會的使者，說：那為阿們的，為誠信真實見證的，在神創造萬物之上為完首的，說：
啟3:15我知道你的行為，你也不冷也不熱，我巴不得你或冷或熱。
啟3:16你既如溫水，也不冷也不熱，所以我必從我口中把你吐出去。
啟3:17你說：我是富足，已經發了財，一樣都不缺，卻不知道你是那困苦，可憐，貧窮，瞎眼，赤身的。
啟3:18我勸你向我買火煉的金子，叫你富足，又買白衣穿上，叫你赤身的羞恥不露出來，又買眼藥擦你的眼睛，使你能看見。
啟3:19凡我所疼愛的，我就責備管教他，所以你要發熱心，也要悔改。
啟3:20看哪，我站在門外叩門，若有聽見我聲音就開門的，我要進到他那裡去，我與他，他與我一同坐席。
啟3:21得勝的，我要賜他在我寶座上與我同坐，就如我得了勝，在我父的寶座上與他同坐一般。

啟2:3你也能忍耐，曾為我的名勞苦，並不乏倦。
啟2:4然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你把起初的愛心離棄了。
啟2:5所以應當回想你是從那裡墜落的，並要悔改，行起初所行的事，你若不悔改，我就臨到你那裡，把你的燈臺從原處挪去。
啟2:6然而你還有一件可取的事，就是你恨惡尼哥拉一黨人的行為，這也是我所恨惡的。
啟2:7聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽。得勝的，我必將神樂園中生命樹的果子賜給他吃。
啟2:8你要寫信給士每拿教會的使者說：那首先的，末後的，死過又活的說：
啟2:9我知道你的患難，你的貧窮，（你卻是富足的）也知道那自稱是猶太人所說的毀謗話，其實他們不是猶太人，乃是撒但一會的人。
啟2:10你將要受的苦你不用怕，魔鬼要把你們中間幾個人下在監裡，叫你們被試煉，你們必受患難十日。你務要至死忠心，我就賜給你那生命的冠冕。
啟2:11聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽。得勝的，必不受第二次死的害。
啟2:12你要寫信給別迦摩教會的使者，說：那有兩刃利劍的說：
啟2:13我知道你的居所，就是有撒但座位之處，當我忠心的見證人安提帕在你們中間，撒但所住的地方被殺之時，你還堅守我的名，沒有棄絕我的道。
啟2:14然而有幾件事我要責備你，因為在你那裡，有人服從了巴蘭的教訓，這巴蘭曾教導巴勒將絆腳石放在以色列人面前，叫他們吃祭偶像之物，行姦淫的事。
啟2:15你那裡也有人照樣服從了尼哥拉一黨人的教訓。
啟2:16所以你當悔改，若不悔改，我就快臨到你那裡，用我口中的劍，攻擊他們。
啟2:17聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽。得勝的，我必將那隱藏的嗎哪賜給他，並賜他一塊白石，石上寫著新名，除了那領受的以外，沒有人能認識。
啟2:18你要寫信給推雅推喇教會的使者，說：那眼目如火焰，腳像光明銅的神之子，說：
啟2:19我知道你的行為，愛心，信心，勤勞，忍耐，又知道你末後所行的善事，比起初所行的更多。
啟2:20然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教導我的僕人，引誘他們行姦淫，吃祭偶像之物。
啟2:21我曾給他悔改的機會，他卻不肯悔改他的淫行。
啟2:22看哪，我要叫他病臥在床，那些與他行淫的人，若不悔改所行的，我也要叫他們同受大患難。
啟2:23我又要殺死他的黨類，〔黨類原文作兒女〕叫眾教會知道，我是那察看人肺腑心腸的，並要照你們的行為報應你們各人。
啟2:24至於你們推雅推喇其餘的人，就是一切不從那教訓，不曉得他們素常所說撒但深奧之理的人，我告訴你們，我不將別的擔子放在你們身上。
啟2:25但你們已經有的，總要持守，直等到我來。
啟2:26那得勝又遵守我命令到底的，我要賜給他權柄制伏列國。
啟2:27他必用鐵杖轄管他們，〔轄管原文作牧〕將他們如同窯戶的瓦器打得粉碎，像我從我父領受的權柄一樣。
啟2:28我又要把晨星賜給他。

Revelation 2 

To the Church in Ephesus
2 “To the angel[a] of the church in Ephesus write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

To the Church in Smyrna
8 “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write:

These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. 9 I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.

To the Church in Pergamum
12 “To the angel of the church in Pergamum write:

These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. 13 I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.

14 Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. 15 Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

To the Church in Thyatira
18 “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write:

These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. 19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.

20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. 23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

24 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you, 25 except to hold on to what you have until I come.’

26 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27 that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’[b]—just as I have received authority from my Father. 28 I will also give that one the morning star. 29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

啟1:17我一聽見，就仆倒在他腳前，像死了一樣。他用右手按著我說：不要懼怕，我是首先的，我是末後的，
啟1:18又是那存活的，我曾死過，現在又活了，直活到永永遠遠，並且拿著死亡和陰間的鑰匙。
啟1:19所以你要把所看見的，和現在的事，並將來必成的事，都寫出來。

Revelation 1 

Prologue
1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Greetings and Doxology
4 John,

To the seven churches in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits[a] before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”[b]
    and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
    and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”[c]
So shall it be! Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

John’s Vision of Christ
9 I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, 11 which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man,[d] dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

19 “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. 20 The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels[e] of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

猶1:4因為有些人偷著進來，就是自古被定受刑罰的，是不虔誠的，將我們神的恩變作放縱情慾的機會，並且不認獨一的主宰我們〔我們或作和我們〕主耶穌基督。
猶1:5從前主救了他的百姓出埃及地，後來就把那些不信的滅絕了，這一切的事，你們雖然都知道，我卻仍要提醒你們。
猶1:6又有不守本位，離開自己住處的天使，主用鎖鍊把他們永遠拘留在黑暗裡，等候大日的審判。
猶1:7又如所多瑪，蛾摩拉，和周圍城邑的人，也照他們一味的行淫，隨從逆性的情慾，就受永火的刑罰，作為鑑戒。
猶1:8這些作夢的人，也像他們污穢身體，輕慢主治的，毀謗在尊位的。
猶1:9天使長米迦勒，為摩西的屍首與魔鬼爭辯的時候，尚且不敢用毀謗的話罪責他，只說：主責備你罷。
猶1:10但這些人毀謗他們所不知道的，他們本性所知道的事與那沒有靈性的畜類一樣，在這事上竟敗壞了自己。

猶1:12這樣的人，在你們的愛席上，與你們同吃的時候，正是礁石，〔或作玷污〕他們作牧人，只知餧養自己，無所懼怕，是沒有雨的雲彩，被風飄蕩，是秋天沒有果子的樹，死而又死，連根被拔出來。
猶1:13是海裡的狂浪，湧出自己可恥的沫子來，是流蕩的星，有墨黑的幽暗為他們永遠存留。
猶1:14亞當的七世孫以諾，曾豫言這些人說：看哪，主帶著他的千萬聖者降臨，

1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,

To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for[a] Jesus Christ:

2 Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

The Sin and Doom of Ungodly People
3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. 4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about[b] long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord[c] at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

8 In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings. 9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”[d] 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.

11 Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.

12 These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”[e] 16 These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

A Call to Persevere
17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. 18 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” 19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

22 Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.[f]

Doxology

24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

1 The elder,

To the lady chosen by God and to her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I only, but also all who know the truth— 2 because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever:

3 Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love.

4 It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. 5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what we[a] have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

12 I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

13 The children of your sister, who is chosen by God, send their greetings.

 

 

3 John 

1 The elder,

To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

5 Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters,[a] even though they are strangers to you. 6 They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way in a manner that honors God. 7 It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. 8 We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.

9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. 10 So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.

11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. 12 Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone—and even by the truth itself. We also speak well of him, and you know that our testimony is true.

13 I have much to write you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.

約一5:3我們遵守神的誡命，這就是愛他了，並且他的誡命不是難守的。
約一5:4因為凡從神生的，就勝過世界，使我們勝了世界的，就是我們的信心。
約一5:5勝過世界的是誰呢，不是那信耶穌是神兒子的麼。
約一5:6這藉著水和血而來的就是耶穌基督，不是單用水，乃是用水又用血。
約一5:7並且有聖靈作見證，因為聖靈就是真理。
約一5:8作見證的原來有三，就是聖靈，水，與血這三樣也都歸於一。
約一5:9我們既領受人的見證，神的見證更該領受了，〔該領受原文作大〕因神的見證，是為他兒子作的。
約一5:10信神兒子的，就有這見證在他心裡，不信神的，就是將神當作說謊的，因不信神為他兒子作的見證。
約一5:11這見證，就是神賜給我們永生，這永生也是在他兒子裡面。
約一5:12人有了神的兒子就有生命，沒有神的兒子就沒有生命。
約一5:13我將這些話寫給你們信奉神兒子之名的人，要叫你們知道自己有永生。
約一5:14我們若照他的旨意求甚麼，他就聽我們，這是我們向他所存坦然無懼的心。
約一5:15既然知道他聽我們一切所求的，就知道我們所求於他的無不得著。
約一5:16人若看見弟兄犯了不至於死的罪，就當為他祈求，神必將生命賜給他，有至於死的罪，我不說當為這罪祈求。
約一5:17凡不義的事都是罪，也有不至於死的罪。
約一5:18我們知道凡從神生的必不犯罪，從神生的必保守自己，〔有古卷作那從神生的必保護他〕那惡者也就無法害他。
約一5:19我們知道我們是屬神的，全世界都臥在那惡者手下。
約一5:20我們也知道神的兒子已經來到，且將智慧賜給我們，使我們認識那位真實的，我們也在那位真實的裡面，就是在他兒子耶穌基督裡面。這是真神，也是永生。

4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

 

4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

 

God’s Love and Ours

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

 

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

 

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

 

19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

 

 

 

5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

 

6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

 

Concluding Affirmations

13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

 

16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

 

18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. 19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

 

21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.

約一3:1你看父賜給我們是何等的慈愛，使我們得稱為神的兒女，我們也真是他的兒女，世人所以不認識我們，是因未曾認識他。
約一3:2親愛的弟兄阿，我們現在是神的兒女，將來如何，還未顯明，但我們知道主若顯現，我們必要像他，因為必得見他的真體。
約一3:3凡向他有這指望的，就潔淨自己，像他潔淨一樣。
約一3:4凡犯罪的，就是違背律法，違背律法就是罪。
約一3:5你們知道主曾顯現，是要除掉人的罪，在他並沒有罪。
約一3:6凡住在他裡面的，就不犯罪，凡犯罪的，是未曾看見他，也未曾認識他。
約一3:7小子們哪，不要被人誘惑，行義的才是義人，正如主是義的一樣。
約一3:8犯罪的是屬魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。神的兒子顯現出來，為要除滅魔鬼的作為。
約一3:9凡從神生的，就不犯罪，因神的道〔原文作種〕存在他心裡，他也不能犯罪，因為他是由神生的。
約一3:10從此就顯出誰是神的兒女，誰是魔鬼的兒女，凡不行義的，就不屬神，不愛弟兄的也是如此。
約一3:11我們應當彼此相愛，這就是你們從起初所聽見的命令。
約一3:12不可像該隱，他是屬那惡者，殺了他的兄弟。為甚麼殺了他呢，因自己的行為是惡的，兄弟的行為是善的。
約一3:13弟兄們，世人若恨你們，不要以為希奇。
約一3:14我們因為愛弟兄，就曉得是已經出死入生了。沒有愛心的，仍住在死中。
約一3:15凡恨他弟兄的，就是殺人的，你們曉得凡殺人的，沒有永生存在他裡面。
約一3:16主為我們捨命，我們從此就知道何為愛，我們也當為弟兄捨命。
約一3:17凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄窮乏，卻塞住憐恤的心，愛神的心怎能存在他裡面呢。
約一3:18小子們哪，我們相愛，不要只在言語和舌頭上，總要在行為和誠實上。
約一3:19從此，就知道我們是屬真理的，並且我們的心在神面前可以安穩。
約一3:20我們的心若責備我們，神比我們的心大，一切事沒有不知道的。
約一3:21親愛的弟兄阿，我們的心若不責備我們，就可以向神坦然無懼了。
約一3:22並且我們一切所求的，就從他得著，因為我們遵守他的命令，行他所喜悅的事。
約一3:23神的命令就是叫我們信他兒子耶穌基督的名，且照他所賜給我們的命令彼此相愛。

約一1:1論到從起初原有的生命之道，就是我們所聽見所看見，親眼看過，親手摸過的。

約一1:3我們將所看見，所聽見的，傳給你們，使你們與我們相交，我們乃是與父並他兒子耶穌基督相交的。
約一1:4我們將這些話寫給你們，使你們〔有古卷作我們〕的喜樂充足。
約一1:5神就是光，在他亳無黑暗，這是我們從主所聽見，又報給你們的信息。
約一1:6我們若說是與神相交，卻仍在黑暗裡行，就是說謊話，不行真理了。
約一1:7我們若在光明中行，如同神在光明中，就彼此相交，他兒子耶穌的血也洗淨我們一切的罪。
約一1:8我們若說自己無罪，便是自欺，真理不在我們心裡了。

約一2:1我小子們哪，我將這些話寫給你們，是要叫你們不犯罪。若有人犯罪，在父那裡我們有一位中保，就是那義者耶穌基督。
約一2:2他為我們的罪作了挽回祭，不是單為我們的罪，也是為普天下人的罪。
約一2:3我們若遵守他的誡命，就曉得是認識他。
約一2:4人若說我認識他，卻不遵守他的誡命，便是說謊話的，真理也不在他心裡了。
約一2:5凡遵守主道的，愛神的心在他裡面實在是完全的，從此我們知道我們是在主裡面。
約一2:6人若說他住在主裡面，就該自己照主所行的去行。
約一2:7親愛的弟兄阿，我寫給你們的，不是一條新命令，乃是你們從起初所受的舊命令，這舊命令就是你們所聽見的道。
約一2:8再者，我寫給你們的是一條新命令，在主是真的，在你們也是真的，因為黑暗漸漸過去，真光已經照耀。
約一2:9人若說自己在光明中，卻恨他的弟兄，他到如今還是在黑暗裡。
約一2:10愛弟兄的就是住在光明中，在他並沒有絆跌的緣由。
約一2:11惟獨恨弟兄的是在黑暗裡，且在黑暗裡行，也不知道往那裡去，因為黑暗叫他眼睛瞎了。
約一2:12小子們哪，我寫信給你們，因為你們的罪藉著主名得了赦免。
約一2:13父老阿，我寫信給你們，因為你們認識那從起初原有的。少年人哪，我寫信給你們，因為你們勝了那惡者。小子們哪，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們認識父。

約一2:17這世界，和其上的情慾，都要過去，惟獨遵行神旨意的，是永遠常存。
約一2:18小子們哪，如今是末時了，你們曾聽見說：那敵基督的要來，現在已經有好些敵基督的出來了，從此我們就知道如今是末時了。
約一2:19他們從我們中間出去，卻不是屬我們的，若是屬我們的，就必仍舊與我們同在，他們出去，顯明都不是屬我們的。
約一2:20你們從那聖者受了恩膏，並且知道這一切的事。〔或作都有知識〕
約一2:21我寫信給你們，不是因你們不知道真理，正是因你們知道，並且知道沒有虛謊是從出真理出來的。
約一2:22誰是說謊話的呢，不是那不認耶穌基督的麼，不認父與子的，這就是敵基督的。
約一2:23凡不認子的就沒有父，認子的連父也有了。
約一2:24論到你們，務要將那從起初所聽見的事存在心裡，若將從起初所聽見的存在心裡，你們就必住在子裡面，也必住在父裡面。
約一2:25主所應許我們的就是永生。
約一2:26我將這些話寫給你們，是指著那引誘你們的人說的。
約一2:27你們從主所受的恩膏，常存在你們心裡，並不用人教訓你們，自有主的恩膏在凡事上教訓你們，這恩膏是真的，不是假的，你們要按這恩膏的教訓，住在主裡面。
約一2:28小子們哪，你們要住在主裡面，這樣，他若顯現，我們就可以坦然無懼，當他來的時候，在他面前也不至於慚愧。

彼後2:1從前在百姓中有假先知起來，將來在你們中間，也必有假師傅，私自引進陷害人的異端，連買他們的主他們也不承認，自取速速的滅亡。
彼後2:2將有許多人隨從他們邪淫的行為，便叫真道，因他們的緣故被毀謗。
彼後2:3他們因有貪心，要用捏造的言語，在你們身上取利，他們的刑罰，自古以來並不遲延，他們的滅亡也必速速來到。〔原文作也不打盹〕
彼後2:4就是天使犯了罪，神也沒有寬容，曾把他們丟在地獄，交在黑暗坑中，等候審判。
彼後2:5神也沒有寬容上古的世代，曾叫洪水臨到那不敬虔的世代，卻保護了傳義道的挪亞一家八口。
彼後2:6又判定所多瑪，蛾摩拉，將二城傾覆，焚燒成灰，作為後世不敬虔人的鑑戒。
彼後2:7只搭救了那常為惡人淫行憂傷的義人羅得。
彼後2:8因為那義人住在他們中間，看見聽見他們不法的事，他的義心就天天傷痛。
彼後2:9主知道搭救敬虔的人脫離試探，把不義的人留在刑罰之下，等候審判的日子。
彼後2:10那些隨肉身，縱污穢的情慾，輕慢主治之人的，更是如此，他們膽大任性，毀謗在尊位的也不知懼怕。
彼後2:11就是天使，雖然力量權能更大，還不用毀謗的話在主面前告他們。
彼後2:12但這些人好像沒有靈性，生來就是畜類，以備捉拿宰殺的，他們毀謗所不曉得的事，正在敗壞人的時候，自己必遭遇敗壞。
彼後2:13行的不義，就得了不義的工價，這些人喜愛白晝宴樂，他們已被玷污，又有瑕疵，正與你們一同坐席，就以自己的詭詐為快樂。
彼後2:14他們滿眼是淫色，〔淫色原文作淫婦〕止不住犯罪，引誘那心不堅固的人，心中習慣了貪婪，正是被咒詛的種類。
彼後2:15他們離棄正路，就走差了，隨從比珥之子巴蘭的路，巴蘭就是那貪愛不義之工價的先知。
彼後2:16他卻為自己的過犯受了責備，那不能說話的驢，以人言攔阻先知的狂妄。
彼後2:17這些人是無水的井，是狂風催逼的霧氣，有墨黑的幽暗為他們存留。
彼後2:18他們說虛妄矜誇的大話，用肉身的情慾，和邪淫的事，引誘那些剛才脫離妄行的人。
彼後2:19他們應許人得以自由，自己卻作敗壞的奴僕，因為人被誰制伏就是誰的奴僕。
彼後2:20倘若他們因認識主救主耶穌基督，得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又在其中被纏住制伏，他們末後的景況，就比先前更不好了。
彼後2:21他們曉得義路，竟背棄了傳給他們的聖命，倒不如不曉得為妙。
彼後2:22俗語說得真不錯，狗所吐的他轉過來又吃，豬洗淨了又回到泥裡去輥，這話在他們身上正合式。

彼後3:1親愛的弟兄阿，我現在寫給你們的是第二封信，這兩封都是提醒你們，激發你們誠實的心。
彼後3:2叫你們記念聖先知豫先所說的話，和主救主的命令，就是使徒所傳給你們的。
彼後3:3第一要緊的，該知道在末世必有好譏誚的人，隨從自己的私慾出來譏誚說：
彼後3:4主要降臨的應許在那裡呢，因為從列祖睡了以來，萬物與起初創造的時候仍是一樣。
彼後3:5他們故意忘記，從太古憑神的命有了天，並從水而出藉水而成的地。
彼後3:6故此，當時的世界被水淹沒就消滅了。
彼後3:7但現在的天地，還是憑著那命存留，直留到不敬虔之人受審判遭沉淪的日子，用火焚燒。
彼後3:8親愛的弟兄阿，有一件事你們不可忘記，就是主看一日如千年，千年如一日。
彼後3:9主所應許的尚未成就，有人以為他是耽延，其實不是耽延，乃是寬容你們，不願有一人沉淪，乃願人人都悔改。
彼後3:10但主的日子要像賊來到一樣，那日天必大有響聲廢去，有形質的都要被烈火銷化，地和其上的物都要燒盡了。
彼後3:11這一切既然都要如此銷化，你們為人該當怎樣聖潔，怎樣敬虔，
彼後3:12切切仰望神的日子來到，在那日天被火燒就銷化了，有形質的都要被烈火鎔化。
彼後3:13但我們照他的應許，盼望新天新地，有義居在其中。
彼後3:14親愛的弟兄阿，你們既盼望這些事，就當殷勤，使自己沒有玷污，無可指摘，安然見主。
彼後3:15並且要以我主長久忍耐為得救的因由，就如我們所親愛的兄弟保羅，照著所賜給他的智慧，寫了信給你們。
彼後3:16他一切的信上，也都是講論這些事，信中有些難明白的，那無學問不堅固的人強解，如強解別的經書一樣，就自取沉淪。
彼後3:17親愛的弟兄阿，你們既然豫先知道這事，就當防備，恐怕被惡人的錯謬誘惑，就從自己堅固的地步上墜落。

  

 

False Teachers and Their Destruction
2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,[a] putting them in chains of darkness[b] to be held for judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. 10 This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh[c] and despise authority.

Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings; 11 yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not heap abuse on such beings when bringing judgment on them from[d] the Lord. 12 But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.

13 They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.[e] 14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood! 15 They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer,[f] who loved the wages of wickedness. 16 But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—an animal without speech—who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.

17 These people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18 For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.” 20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22 Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,”[g] and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

2 Peter 3 

The Day of the Lord
3 Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. 2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. 15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

彼後1:1作耶穌基督僕人和使徒的西門彼得，寫信給那因我們的神，和〔有古卷無和字〕救主耶穌基督之義，與我們同得一樣寶貴信心的人。
彼後1:2願恩惠平安，因你們認識神和我們主耶穌，多多的加給你們。
彼後1:3神的神能已將一切關乎生命和虔敬的事賜給我們，皆因我們認識那用自己榮耀和美德召我們的主。
彼後1:4因此他已將又寶貴又極大的應許賜給我們，叫我們既脫離世上從情慾來的敗壞，就得與神的性情有分。
彼後1:5正因這緣故，你們要分外的殷勤，有了信心，又要加上德行，有了德行，又要加上知識。
彼後1:6有了知識，又要加上節制，有了節制，又要加上忍耐，有了忍耐，又要加上虔敬。
彼後1:7有了虔敬，又要加上愛弟兄的心，有了愛弟兄的心，又要加上愛眾人的心。
彼後1:8你們若充充足足的有這幾樣，就必使你們在認識我們的主耶穌基督上，不至於閒懶不結果子了。
彼後1:9人若沒有這幾樣，就是眼瞎，只看見近處的，忘了他舊日的罪已經得了潔淨。
彼後1:10所以弟兄們，應當更加殷勤，使你們所蒙的恩召和揀選堅定不移，你們若行這幾樣，就永不失腳。
彼後1:11這樣，必叫你們豐豐富富的，得以進入我們主救主耶穌基督永遠的國。
彼後1:12你們雖然曉得這些事，並且在你們已有的真道上堅固，我卻要將這些事常常提醒你們。
彼後1:13我以為應當趁我還在這帳棚的時候提醒你們，激發你們。
彼後1:14因為知道我脫離這帳棚的時候快到了，正如我們主耶穌基督所指示我的。
彼後1:15並且我要盡心竭力，使你們在我去世以後，時常記念這些事。
彼後1:16我們從前，將我們主耶穌基督的大能，和他降臨的事，告訴你們，並不是隨從乖巧捏造的虛言，乃是親眼見過他的威榮。
彼後1:17他從父神得尊貴榮耀的時候，從極大榮光之中，有聲音出來向他說：這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。
彼後1:18我們同他在聖山的時候，親自聽見這聲音從天上出來。
彼後1:19我們並有先知更確的豫言，如同燈照在暗處，你們在這豫言上留意，直等到天發亮晨星在你們心裡出現的時候，才是好的。
彼後1:20第一要緊的，該知道經上所有的豫言，沒有可隨私意解說的。

 

2 Peter 1 

1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:

2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Confirming One’s Calling and Election
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Prophecy of Scripture
12 So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have. 13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, 14 because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. 15 And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.

16 For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”[b] 18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

彼前4:1基督既在肉身受苦，你們也當將這樣的心志作為兵器，因為在肉身受過苦的，就已經與罪繼絕了。
彼前4:2你們存這樣的心，從今以後，就可以不從人的情慾，只從神的旨意，在世度餘下的光陰。
彼前4:3因為往日隨從外邦人的心意，行邪淫，惡慾，醉酒，荒宴，群飲，並可惡拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。
彼前4:4他們在這些事上，見你們不與他們同奔那放蕩無度的路，就以為怪，毀謗你們。
彼前4:5他們必在那將要審判活人死人的主面前交賬。
彼前4:6為此，就是死人也曾有福音傳給他們，要叫他們的肉體按著人受審判，他們的靈性卻靠神活著。
彼前4:7萬物的結局近了，所以你們要謹慎自守，儆醒禱告。
彼前4:8最要緊的是彼此切實相愛，因為愛能遮掩許多的罪。
彼前4:9你們要互相款待，不發怨言。
彼前4:10各人要照所得的恩賜彼此服事，作神百般恩賜的好管家。
彼前4:11若有講道的，要按著神的聖言講，若有服事人的，要按著神所賜的力量服事，叫神在凡事上因耶穌基督得榮耀，原來榮耀權能都是他的，直到永永遠遠。阿們。
彼前4:12親愛的弟兄阿，有火煉的試驗臨到你們，不要以為奇怪，（似乎是遭遇非常的事）
彼前4:13倒要歡喜，因為你們是與基督一同受苦，使你們在他榮耀顯現的時候，也可以歡喜快樂。
彼前4:14你們若是為基督的名受辱罵，便是有福的，因為神榮耀的靈，常住在你們身上。
彼前4:15你們中間卻不可有人，因為殺人，偷竊，作惡，好管閒事而受苦。
彼前4:16若為作基督徒受苦，卻不要羞恥，倒要因這名歸榮耀給神。
彼前4:17因為時候到了，審判要從神的家起首，若是先從我們起首，那不信從神福音的人，將有何等的結局呢。
彼前4:18若是義人僅僅得救，那不虔敬和犯罪的人，將有何地可站呢。
彼前4:19所以那照神旨意受苦的人，要一心為善，將自己靈魂交與那信實的造化之主。

彼前5:1我這作長老，作基督受苦的見證，同享後來所要顯現之榮耀的，勸你們中間與我同作長老的人。
彼前5:2務要牧養在你們中間神的群羊，按著神旨意照管他們，不是出於勉強，乃是出於甘心，也不是因為貪財，乃是出於樂意。
彼前5:3也不是轄制所託付你們的，乃是作群羊的榜樣。
彼前5:4到了牧長顯現的時候，你們必得那永不衰殘的榮耀冠冕。
彼前5:5你們年幼的，也要順服年長的。就是你們眾人，也都要以謙卑束腰，彼此順服，因為神阻擋驕傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。
彼前5:6所以你們要自卑，服在神大能的手下，到了時候他必叫你們升高。
彼前5:7你們要將一切的憂慮卸給神，因為他顧念你們。
彼前5:8務要謹守，儆醒，因為你們的仇敵魔鬼，如同吼叫的獅子，遍地游行，尋找可吞吃的人。
彼前5:9你們要用堅固的信心抵擋他，因為知道你們在世上的眾弟兄，也是經歷這樣的苦難。

Living for God

 

4 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Suffering for Being a Christian
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
    what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”[a]

19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

 

1 Peter 5 

To the Elders and the Flock
5 To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

“God opposes the proud
    but shows favor to the humble.”[a]
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Final Greetings
12 With the help of Silas,[b] whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.

13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark. 14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.

彼前2:1所以你們既除去一切的惡毒，〔或作陰毒〕詭詐，並假善，嫉妒，和一切毀謗的話，
彼前2:2就要愛慕那純淨的靈奶，像才生的嬰孩愛慕奶一樣，叫你們因此漸長，以致得救。
彼前2:3你們若嘗過主恩的滋味，就必如此。
彼前2:4主乃活石，固然是被人所棄的，卻是被神所揀選所寶貴的。
彼前2:5你們來到主面前，也就像活石，被建造成為靈宮，作聖潔的祭司，藉著耶穌基督奉獻神所悅納的靈祭。
彼前2:6因為經上說：『看哪，我把所揀選所寶貴的房角石，安放在錫安，信靠他的人，必不至於羞愧。』
彼前2:7所以他在你們信的人就為寶貴，在那不信的人有話說：『匠人所棄的石頭，已作了房角的頭塊石頭。』
彼前2:8又說：『作了絆腳的石頭，跌人的磐石。』他們既不順從，就在道理上絆跌，〔或作他們絆跌都因不順從道理〕他們這樣絆跌也是豫定的。
彼前2:9惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。
彼前2:10你們從前算不得子民，現在卻作了神的子民，從前未曾蒙憐恤，現在卻蒙了憐恤。
彼前2:11親愛的弟兄阿，你們是客旅，是寄居的，我勸你們要禁戒肉體的私慾，這私慾是與靈魂爭戰的。
彼前2:12你們在外邦人中，應當品行端正，叫那些毀謗你們是作惡的，因看見你們的好行為，便在鑒察的日子，〔鑒察或作眷顧〕歸榮耀給神。
彼前2:13你們為主的緣故，要順服人的一切制度，或是在上的君王，
彼前2:14或是君王所派罰惡賞善的臣宰。
彼前2:15因為神的旨意原是要你們行善，可以堵住那糊塗無知人的口。
彼前2:16你們雖是自由的，卻不可藉著自由遮蓋惡毒，〔或作陰毒〕總要作神的僕人。
彼前2:17務要尊敬眾人，親愛教中的弟兄，敬畏神，尊敬君王。
彼前2:18你們作僕人的，凡事要存敬畏的心順服主人，不但順服那善良溫和的，就是那乖僻的也要順服。
彼前2:19倘若人為叫良心對得住神，就忍受冤屈的苦楚，這是可喜愛的。
彼前2:20你們若因犯罪受責打，能忍耐，有甚麼可誇的呢，但你們若因行善受苦，能忍耐，這在神看是可喜愛的。
彼前2:21你們蒙召原是為此，因為基督也為你們受過苦，給你們留下榜樣，叫你們跟隨他的腳蹤行。
彼前2:22他並沒有犯罪，口裡也沒有詭詐。
彼前2:23他被罵不還口，受害不說威嚇的話，只將自己交託那按公義審判人的主。
彼前2:24他被掛在木頭上親身擔當了我們的罪，使我們既然在罪上死，就得以在義上活，因他受的鞭傷，你們便得了醫治。
彼前2:25你們從前好像迷路的羊，如今卻歸到你們靈魂的牧人監督了。

彼前3:1你們作妻子的，要順服自己的丈夫，這樣，若有不信從道理的丈夫，他們雖然不聽道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化過來。
彼前3:2這正是因看見你們有貞潔的品行，和敬畏的心。
彼前3:3你們不要以外面的辮頭髮，戴金飾，穿美衣，為妝飾，
彼前3:4只要以裡面存著長久溫柔安靜的心為妝飾，這在神面前是極寶貴的。
彼前3:5因為古時仰賴神的聖潔婦人，正是以此為妝飾，順服自己的丈夫。
彼前3:6就如撒拉聽從亞伯拉罕，稱他為主，你們若行善，不因恐嚇而害怕，便是撒拉的女兒了。
彼前3:7你們作丈夫的，也要按情理和妻子同住，〔情理原文作知識〕因他比你軟弱，〔比你軟弱原文作是軟弱的器皿〕與你一同承受生命之恩的，所以要敬重他，這樣便叫你們的禱告沒有阻礙。
彼前3:8總而言之，你們都要同心，彼此體恤，相愛如弟兄，存慈憐謙卑的心。
彼前3:9不以惡報惡，以辱罵還辱罵，倒要祝福，因你們是為此蒙召，好叫你們承受福氣。
彼前3:10因為經上說：『人若愛生命，願享美福，須要禁止舌頭不出惡言，嘴唇不說詭詐的話。
彼前3:11也要離惡行善，尋求和睦，一心追趕。
彼前3:12因為主的眼看顧義人，主的耳聽他們的祈禱，惟有行惡的人，主向他們變臉。』
彼前3:13你們若是熱心行善，有誰害你們呢。
彼前3:14你們就是為義受苦，也是有福的，不要怕人的威嚇，也不要驚慌，〔的威嚇或作所怕的〕
彼前3:15只要心裡尊主基督為聖，有人問你們心中盼望的緣由，就要常作準備，以溫柔敬畏的心回答各人。
彼前3:16存著無虧的良心，叫你們在何事上被毀謗，就在何事上，可以叫那誣賴你們在基督裡有好品行的人，自覺羞愧。
彼前3:17神的旨意若是叫你們因行善受苦，總強如因行惡受苦。
彼前3:18因基督也曾一次為罪受苦，〔受苦有古卷作受死〕就是義的代替不義的，為要引我們到神面前，按著肉體說他被治死，按著靈性說他復活了。
彼前3:19他藉這靈，曾去傳道給那些在監獄裡的靈聽，
彼前3:20就是那從前在挪亞豫備方舟，神容忍等待的時候，不信從的人，當時進入方舟，藉著水得救的不多，只有八個人。
彼前3:21這水所表明的洗禮，現在藉著耶穌基督復活，也拯救你們，這洗禮本不在乎除掉肉體的污穢，只求在神面前有無虧的良心。

 

1 Peter 2 

2 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

The Living Stone and a Chosen People
4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house[a] to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For in Scripture it says:

“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
    a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
    will never be put to shame.”[b]
7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,

“The stone the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone,”[c]
8 and,

“A stone that causes people to stumble
    and a rock that makes them fall.”[d]
They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.

9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Living Godly Lives in a Pagan Society
11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

22 “He committed no sin,

    and no deceit was found in his mouth.”[e]

23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,”[f] but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

 

 

1 Peter 3 

3 Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Suffering for Doing Good
8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For,

“Whoever would love life
    and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
    and their lips from deceitful speech.
11 They must turn from evil and do good;
    they must seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
    and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”[a]

13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats[b]; do not be frightened.”[c] 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 19 After being made alive,[d] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[e] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

彼前1:1耶穌基督的使徒彼得，寫信給那分散在本都，加拉太，加帕多家，亞西亞，庇推尼寄居的。
彼前1:2就是照父神的先見被揀選，藉著聖靈得成聖潔，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人，願恩惠平安，多多的加給你們。
彼前1:3願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父神，他曾照自己的大憐憫，藉著耶穌基督從死裡復活，重生了我們，叫我們有活潑的盼望，
彼前1:4可以得著不能朽壞，不能玷污，不能衰殘，為你們存留在天上的基業。
彼前1:5你們這因信蒙神能力保守的人，必能得著所豫備，到末世要顯現的救恩。
彼前1:6因此，你們是大有喜樂，但如今，在百般的試煉中暫時憂愁。
彼前1:7叫你們的信心既被試驗，就比那被火試驗，仍然能壞的金子，更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候，得著稱讚，榮耀，尊貴。
彼前1:8你們雖然沒有見過他，卻是愛他，如今雖不得看見，卻因信他就有說不出來，滿有榮光的大喜樂。
彼前1:9並且得著你們信心的果效，就是靈魂的救恩。
彼前1:10論到這救恩，那豫先說你們要得恩典的眾先知，早已詳細的尋求考察。
彼前1:11就是考察在他們心裡基督的靈，豫先證明基督受苦難，後來得榮耀，是指著甚麼時候，並怎樣的時候。
彼前1:12他們得了啟示，知道他們所傳講的一切事，〔傳講原文作服事〕不是為自己，乃是為你們，那靠著從天上差來的聖靈，傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事報給你們，天使也願意詳細察看這些事。
彼前1:13所以要約束你們的心，〔原文作束上你們心中的腰〕謹慎自守，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候所帶來給你們的恩。
彼前1:14你們既作順命的兒女，就不要效法從前蒙昧無知的時候，那放縱私慾的樣子。
彼前1:15那召你們的既是聖潔，你們在一切所行的事上也要聖潔。
彼前1:16因經上記著說：『你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。』
彼前1:17你們既稱那不偏待人，按各人行為審判人的主為父，就當存敬畏的心，度你們在世寄居的日子。
彼前1:18知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖宗所傳流虛妄的行為，不是憑著能壞的金銀等物。
彼前1:19乃是憑著基督的寶血，如同無瑕無疵玷污的羔羊之血。
彼前1:20基督在創世以前，是豫先被神知道的，卻在這末世，才為你們顯現。
彼前1:21你們也因著他，信那叫他從死裡復活，又給他榮耀的神，叫你們的信心，和盼望，都在於神。
彼前1:22你們既因順從真理，潔淨了自己的心，以致愛弟兄沒有虛假，就當從心裡彼此切實相愛，〔從心裡有古卷作從清潔的心〕
彼前1:23你們蒙了重生，不是由於能壞的種子，乃是由於不能壞的種子，是藉著神活潑常存的道。
彼前1:24因為『凡有血氣的，盡都如草，他的美榮，都像草上的花，草必枯乾，花必凋謝。

 

1 Peter 1 

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:

Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

Praise to God for a Living Hope
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

Be Holy
13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”[a]

17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.[b] 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For,

“All people are like grass,
    and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25     but the word of the Lord endures forever.”[c]

And this is the word that was preached to you.

 

 

雅3:2原來我們在許多事上都有過失，若有人在話語上沒有過失，他就是完全人，也能勒住自己的全身。
雅3:3我們若把嚼環放在馬嘴裡，叫他順服，就能調動他的全身。
雅3:4看哪，船隻雖然甚大，又被大風催逼，只用小小的舵，就隨著掌舵的意思轉動。
雅3:5這樣，舌頭在百體裡也是最小的，卻能說大話。看哪，最小的火，能點最大的樹林。
雅3:6舌頭就是火，在我們百體中，舌頭是個罪惡的世界，能污穢全身，也能把生命的輪子點起來，並且是從地獄裡點著的。
雅3:7各類的走獸，飛禽，昆蟲，水族，本來都可以制伏，也已經被人制伏了。
雅3:8惟獨舌頭沒有人能制伏，是不止息的惡物，滿了害死人的毒氣。
雅3:9我們用舌頭頌讚那為主為父的，又用舌頭咒詛那照著神形像被造的人。
雅3:10頌讚和咒詛從一個口裡出來，我的弟兄們，這是不應當的。
雅3:11泉源從一個眼裡能發出甜苦兩樣的水麼。
雅3:12我的弟兄們，無花果樹能生橄欖麼，葡萄樹能結無花果麼，鹹水裡也不能發出甜水來。
雅3:13你們中間誰是有智慧有見識的呢，他就當在智慧的溫柔上，顯出他的善行來。
雅3:14你們心裡若懷著苦毒的嫉妒和分爭，就不可自誇，也不可說謊話抵擋真道。
雅3:15這樣的智慧，不是從上頭來的，乃是屬地的，屬情慾的，屬鬼魔的。
雅3:16在何處有嫉妒分爭，就在何處有擾亂，和各樣的壞事。
雅3:17惟獨從上頭來的智慧，先是清潔，後是和平，溫良柔順，滿有憐憫，多結善果，沒有偏見，沒有假冒。
雅3:18並且使人和平的，是用和平所栽種的義果。

雅4:1你們中間的爭戰鬥毆，是從那裡來的呢，不是從你們百體中戰鬥之私慾來的麼。
雅4:2你們貪戀，還是得不著，你們殺害嫉妒，又鬥毆爭戰，也不能得，你們得不著，是因為你們不求。
雅4:3你們求也得不著，是因為你們妄求，要浪費在你們的宴樂中。
雅4:4你們這些淫亂的人哪，〔淫亂的人原文作淫婦〕豈不知與世俗為友，就是與神為敵麼，所以凡想要與世俗為友的，就是與神為敵了。
雅4:5你們想經上所說是徒然的麼，神所賜住在我們裡面的靈，是戀愛至於嫉妒麼。
雅4:6但他賜更多的恩典，所以經上說：『神阻擋驕傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。』
雅4:7故此你們要順服神，務要抵擋魔鬼，魔鬼就必離開你們逃跑了。
雅4:8你們親近神，神就必親近你們。有罪的人哪，要潔淨你們的手。心懷二意的人哪，要清潔你們的心。
雅4:9你們要愁苦，悲哀，哭泣，將喜笑變作悲哀，歡樂變作愁悶。
雅4:10務要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你們升高。
雅4:11弟兄們，你們不可彼此批評，人若批評弟兄，論斷弟兄，就是批評律法，論斷律法，你若論斷律法，就不是遵行律法，乃是判斷人的。
雅4:12設立律法和判斷人的，只有一位，就是那能救人也能滅人的，你是誰，竟敢論斷別人呢。
雅4:13嗐，你們有話說：今天明天我們要往某城裡去，在那裡住一年，作買賣得利。
雅4:14其實明天如何，你們還不知道。你們的生命是甚麼呢，你們原來是一片雲霧，出現少時就不見了。
雅4:15你們只當說：主若願意，我們就可以活著，也可以作這事，或作那事。
雅4:16現今你們竟以張狂誇口，凡這樣誇口都是惡的。
雅4:17人若知道行善，卻不去行，這就是他的罪了。

雅5:1嗐，你們這些富足人哪，應當哭泣，號咷，因為將有苦難臨到你們身上。
雅5:2你們的財物壞了，衣服也被蟲子咬了。
雅5:3你們的金銀都長了鏽，那鏽要證明你們的不是，又要吃你們的肉，如同火燒。你們在這末世，只知積儹錢財。
雅5:4工人給你們收割莊稼，你們虧欠他們的工錢，這工錢有聲音呼叫，並且那收割之人的冤聲，已經入了萬軍之主的耳了。
雅5:5你們在世上享美福，好宴樂，當宰殺的日子竟嬌養你們的心。
雅5:6你們定了義人的罪，把他殺害，他也不抵擋你們。
雅5:7弟兄們哪，你們要忍耐，直到主來。看哪，農夫忍耐等候地裡寶貴的出產，直到得了秋雨春雨。
雅5:8你們也當忍耐，堅固你們的心，因為主來的日子近了。
雅5:9弟兄們，你們不要彼此埋怨，免得受審判，看哪，審判的主站在門前了。
雅5:10弟兄們，你們要把那先前奉主名說話的眾先知，當作能受苦能忍耐的榜樣。
雅5:11那先前忍耐的人，我們稱他們是有福的，你們聽見過約伯的忍耐，也知道主給他的結局，明顯主是滿心憐憫，大有慈悲。
雅5:12我的弟兄們，最要緊的是不可起誓，不可指著天起誓，也不可指著地起誓，無論何誓都不可起，你們說話，是就說是，不是就說不是，免得你們落在審判之下。
雅5:13你們中間有受苦的呢，他就該禱告。有喜樂的呢，他就該歌頌。
雅5:14你們中間有病了的呢，他就該請教會的長老來，他們可以奉主的名用油抹他，為他禱告。
雅5:15出於信心的祈禱，要救那病人，主必叫他起來，他若犯了罪，也必蒙赦免。
雅5:16所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代求，使你們可以得醫治。義人祈禱所發的力量，是大有功效的。
雅5:17以利亞與我們是一樣性情的人，他懇切禱告，求不要下雨，雨就三年零六個月不下在地上。
雅5:18他又禱告，天就降下兩來，地也生出土產。
雅5:19我的弟兄們，你們中間若有失迷真道的，有人使他回轉。

雅2:1我的弟兄們，你們信奉我們榮耀的主耶穌基督，便不可按著外貌待人。
雅2:2若有一個人帶著金戒指，穿著華美衣服，進你們的會堂去，又有一個窮人，穿著骯髒衣服也進去。
雅2:3你們就看重那穿華美衣服的人，說：請坐在這好位上，又對那窮人說：你站在那裡，或坐在我腳凳下邊。
雅2:4這豈不是你們偏心待人，用惡意斷定人麼。
雅2:5我親愛的弟兄們請聽，神豈不是揀選了世上的貧窮人，叫他們在信上富足，並承受他所應許給那些愛他之人的國麼。
雅2:6你們反倒羞辱貧窮人。那富足人豈不是欺壓你們，拉你們到公堂去麼。
雅2:7他們不是褻瀆你們所敬奉的尊名麼。〔所敬奉或作作被稱〕
雅2:8經上記著說：『要愛人如己。』你們若全守這至尊的律法才是好的。
雅2:9但你們若按外貌待人，便是犯罪，被律法定為犯法的。
雅2:10因為凡遵守全律法的，只在一條上跌倒，他就是犯了眾條。
雅2:11原來那說不可姦淫的，也說不可殺人，你就是不姦淫，卻殺人，仍是成了犯律法的。
雅2:12你們既然要按使人自由的律法受審判，就該照這律法說話行事。
雅2:13因為那不憐憫人的，也要受無憐憫的審判，憐憫原是向審判誇勝。
雅2:14我的弟兄們，若有人說：自己有信心，卻沒有行為，有甚麼益處呢，這信心能救他麼。
雅2:15若是弟兄，或是姐妹，赤身露體，又缺了日用的飲食，
雅2:16你們中間有人對他們說：平平安安的去罷，願你們穿得煖吃得飽，卻不給他們身體所需用的，這有甚麼益處呢。
雅2:17這樣，信心若沒有行為就是死的。
雅2:18必有人說：你有信心，我有行為，你將你沒有行為的信心指給我看，我便藉著我的行為，將我的信心指給你看。
雅2:19你信神只有一位，你信的不錯，鬼魔也信，卻是戰驚。
雅2:20虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是死的麼。
雅2:21我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕，把他兒子以撒獻在壇上，豈不是因行為稱義麼。
雅2:22可見信心是與他的行為並行，而且信心因著行為才得成全。
雅2:23這就應驗經上所說：『亞伯拉罕信神，這就算為他的義。』他又得稱為神的朋友。
雅2:24這樣看來，人稱義是因著行為，不是單因著信。
