本日經文提要 (約翰福音 9:1~10:42)
約9:1耶穌過去的時候，看見一個人生來是瞎眼的。
約9:2門徒問耶穌說：拉比，這人生來是瞎眼的，是誰犯了罪，是這人呢，是他父母呢。
約9:3耶穌回答說：也不是這人犯了罪，也不是他父母犯了罪，是要在他身上顯出神的作為來。
約9:4趁著白日，我們必須作那差我來者的工，黑夜將到，就沒有人能作工了。
約9:5我在世上的時候，是世上的光。
約9:6耶穌說了這話，就吐唾沬在地上，用唾沬和泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上，
約9:7對他說：你往西羅亞池子裡去洗，（西羅亞繙出來，就是奉差遣）他去一洗，回頭就看見了。
約9:8他的鄰舍和那素常見他是討飯的，就說：這不是那從前坐著討飯的人麼。
約9:9有人說：是他，又有人說：不是，卻是像他，他自己說：是我。
約9:10他們對他說：你的眼睛是怎麼的呢。
約9:11他回答說：有一個人名叫耶穌，他和泥抹我的眼睛，對我說：你往西羅亞池子去洗，我去一洗，就看見了。
約9:12他們說：那個人在那裡，他說：我不知道。
約9:13他們把從前瞎眼的人，帶到法利賽人那裡。
約9:14耶穌和泥開他眼睛的日子是安息日。
約9:15法利賽人也問他是怎麼得看見的。瞎子對他們說：他把泥抹在我的眼睛上，我去一洗，就看見了。
約9:16法利賽人中有的說：這個人不是從神來的，因為他不守安息日。又有人說：一個罪人怎能行這樣的神蹟呢。他們就起了分爭。
約9:17他們又對瞎子說：他既然開了你的眼睛，你說他是怎樣的人呢。他說：是個先知。
約9:18猶太人不信他從前是瞎眼，後來能看見的，等到叫了他的父母來，
約9:19問他們說：這是你們的兒子麼，你們說他生來是瞎眼的，如今怎麼能看了呢。
約9:20他父母回答說：他是我們的兒子，生來就瞎眼，這是我們知道的。
約9:21至於他如今怎麼能看見，我們卻不知道，是誰開了他的眼睛，我們也不知道，他已經成了人，你們問他罷，他自己必能說。
約9:22他父母說這話，是怕猶太人，因為猶太人已經商議定了，若有認耶穌是基督的，要把他趕出會堂。
約9:23因此他父母說：他已經成了人，你們問他罷。
約9:24所以法利賽人第二次叫了那從前瞎眼的人來，對他說：你該將榮耀歸給神，我們知道這人是個罪人。
約9:25他說：他是個罪人不是，我不知道，有一件事我知道，從前我是眼瞎的，如今能看見了。
約9:26他們就問他說：他向你作甚麼，是怎樣開了你的眼睛呢。
約9:27他回答說：我方才告訴你們，你們不聽，為甚麼又要聽呢，莫非你們也要作他的門徒麼。
約9:28他們就罵他說：你是他的門徒，我們是摩西的門徒。
約9:29神對摩西說話，是我們知道的，只是這個人，我們不知道他從那裡來。
約9:30那人回答說：他開了我的眼睛，你們竟不知道他從那裡來，這真是奇怪。
約9:31我們知道神不聽罪人，惟有敬奉神遵行他旨意的，神才聽他。
約9:32從創世以來，未曾聽見有人把生來是瞎子的眼睛開了。
約9:33這人若不是從神來的，甚麼也不能作。
約9:34他們回答說：你全然生在罪孽中，還要教訓我們麼。於是把他趕出去了。
約9:35耶穌聽說他們把他趕出去，後來遇見了他，就說：你信神的兒子麼。
約9:36他回答說：主阿，誰是神的兒子，叫我信他呢。
約9:37耶穌說：你已經看見他，現在和你說話的就是他。
約9:38他說：主阿，我信，就拜耶穌。
約9:39耶穌說：我為審判到這世上來，叫不能看見的，可以看見，能看見的，反瞎了眼。
約9:40同他在那裡的法利賽人，聽見這話，就說：難道我們也瞎了眼麼。
約9:41耶穌對他們說：你們若瞎了眼，就沒有罪了，但如今你們說：我們能看見，所以你們的罪還在。
約10:1我實實在在的告訴你們，人進羊圈，不從門進去，倒從別處爬進去，那人就是賊，就是強盜。
約10:2從門進去的，才是羊的牧人。
約10:3看門的就給他開門，羊也聽他的聲音，他按著名叫自己的羊，把羊領出來。
約10:4既放出自己的羊來，就在前頭走，羊也跟著他，因為認得他的聲音。
約10:5羊不跟著生人，因為不認得他的聲音，必要逃跑。
約10:6耶穌將這比喻告訴他們，但他門不明白所說的是甚麼意思。
約10:7所以耶穌又對他們說：我實實在在的告訴你們，我就是羊的門。
約10:8凡在我以先來的，都是賊，是強盜，羊卻不聽他們。
約10:9我就是門，凡從我進來的，必然得救，並且出入得草吃。
約10:10盜賊來，無非要偷竊，殺害，毀壞，我來了，是要叫羊〔或作人〕得生命，並且得的更豐盛。
約10:11我是好牧人，好牧人為羊捨命。
約10:12若是雇工，不是牧人，羊也不是他自己的，他看見狼來，就撇下羊逃走，狼抓住羊，趕散了羊群。
約10:13雇工逃走，因他是雇工，並不顧念羊。
約10:14我是好牧人，我認識我的羊，我的羊也認識我。
約10:15正如父認識我，我也認識父一樣，並且我為羊捨命。
約10:16我另外有羊，不是這圈裡的，我必須領他們來，他們也要聽我的聲音，並且要合成一群，歸一個牧人了。
約10:17我父愛我，因我將命捨去，好再取回來。
約10:18沒有人奪我的命去，是我自己捨的。我有權柄捨了，也有權柄取回來，這是我從我父所受的命令。
約10:19猶太人為這些話，又起了分爭。
約10:20內中有好些人說：他是被鬼附著，而且瘋了，為甚麼聽他呢。
約10:21又有人說：這不是鬼附之人所說的話。鬼豈能叫瞎子的眼睛開了呢。
約10:22在耶路撒冷有修殿節，是冬天的時候。
約10:23耶穌在殿裡所羅門的廊下行走。
約10:24猶太人圍著他，說：你叫我們猶疑不定到幾時呢，你若是基督，就明明的告訴我們。
約10:25耶穌回答說：我已經告訴你們，你們不信，我奉我父之名所行的事，可以為我作見證。
約10:26只是你們不信，因為你們不是我的羊。
約10:27我的羊聽我的聲音，我也認識他們，他們也跟著我。
約10:28我又賜給他們永生，他們永不滅亡，誰也不能從我手裡把他們奪去。
約10:29我父把羊賜給我，他比萬有都大，誰也不能從我父手裡把他們奪去。
約10:30我與父原為一。
約10:31猶太人又拿起石頭來要打他。
約10:32耶穌對他們說：我從父顯出許多善事給你們看，你們是為那一件拿石頭打我呢。
約10:33猶太人回答說：我們不是為善事拿石頭打你，是為你說僭妄的話，又為你是個人，反將自己當作神。
約10:34耶穌說：你們的律法上豈不是寫著，『我曾說你們是神』麼。
約10:35經上的話是不能廢的，若那些承受神道的人，尚且稱為神，
約10:36父所分別為聖，又差到世間來的，他自稱是神的兒子，你們還向他說：你說僭妄的話麼。
約10:37我若不行我父的事，你們就不必信我。
約10:38我若行了，你們縱然不信我，也當信這些事，叫你們又知道，又明白，父在我裡面，我也在父裡面。
約10:39他們又要拿他，他卻逃出他們的手走了。
約10:40耶穌又往約但河外去，到了約翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那裡。
約10:41有許多人來到他那裡，他們說：約翰一件神蹟沒有行過，但約翰指著這人所說的一切話都是真的。
約10:42在那裡信耶穌的人就多了。

John 9
Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
9 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was.
Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”
But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”
10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.
11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”
12 “Where is this man?” they asked him.
“I don’t know,” he said.
The Pharisees Investigate the Healing
13 They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. 14 Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath. 15 Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”
16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”
But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.
17 Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”
The man replied, “He is a prophet.”
18 They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents. 19 “Is this your son?” they asked. “Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?”
20 “We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. 21 But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” 22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. 23 That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”
24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”
25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
26 Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”
28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”
30 The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
34 To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out.
Spiritual Blindness
35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”
37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”
38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.
39 Jesus said,[a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”
40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”

The Good Shepherd and His Sheep
10 “Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.
7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
19 The Jews who heard these words were again divided. 20 Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?”
21 But others said, “These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
Further Conflict Over Jesus’ Claims
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication[b] at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
31 Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, 32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”
33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’[d]? 35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? 37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.

40 Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed, 41 and many people came to him. They said, “Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.” 42 And in that place many believed in Jesus.
